How I got in

I applied through my school and for the business programs that UGA provides, Madrid is one of the only Spanish speaking countries that also held all of the city values I was looking for.

I would have advocated more to get a law internship instead of a marketing internship just so that it aligns better with the work I am trying to do in the future.

I wish I knew how different the interactions with my co-workers would have been and how casual the environment was.

The hardest part

The hardest part was the commute to work, it was an hour and a half and figuring out the Madrid bus system itself was a huge challenge on its own.

Waking up getting ready for work getting to the metro statin get on a bus get to the office work on editing and video creation go to the site and take pictures and videos of the teams return to office and work on the content just taken

What does a typical day in your internship actually look like?
Going to work, working in office most days, some days on site to create content.
How did you land your internship - what did the application process involve?
I applied through my school, University of Georgia, Terry College of business. It was an essay, two recommendations, and a few other components.
What skills do you wish you had before starting that you'd tell others to prepare?
I wish I had built a relationship with the company I was working with in order to create a smoother transition into the role. After the interview there was no correspondence with the company, so if the student is able to establish a relationship with their supervisors there would be a much better experience on site.
