What Zoey wishes they knew

Things I wish I knew before starting

I wish I didn’t put as much pressure on myself to know anything about my department, my management staff was very understanding of only having two years of school under my belt.

The hardest part

The hardest part was struggling to overcome the language barrier at times. This was never that big of an issue, though, because everyone was super understanding of my English.

The best decision I made

I decided to travel to a few different cities over the weekends and after my internship to explore more of Europe, which was amazing.

What it's actually like

A typical day

A typical day for me included waking up, eating breakfast, heading to the office, collaborating with other interns in my management staff on projects, heading back home for lunch, working the rest of the day from a coffee shop or my room, working out in the afternoon, taking a walk around the city, having dinner and watching a show before bed.

Questions students ask Zoey

What's student life really like at your university?
On campus at my university, students are very social and love to be together over the weekend weekends. It’s not uncommon to see students studying together, getting meals together, or hanging out in the dorms together.
How competitive is it to get onto your course, and how did you stand out?
Even though Bentley is a very competitive school, you can stand out by being very dedicated to your academics and choosing to go to extra events that the school puts on to collaborate with companies. It’s really important to make sure you network, especially in the business field.
What would you do differently if you were going through the application again?
I would make sure to highlight my interests more than I did. I said that I wanted to intern in finance because that was my major at the time, but it’s different now.
