Common mistakes to avoid
I would’ve taken more weekend trips. It’s easy to get distracted by work and social life after work, and not make time to plan out weekend trips. It’s important to take advantage while you’re there.

Things I wish I knew before starting
I wish I knew that what your employer and Absolute tell you about your position will change when you get there.
The hardest part
The hardest part was going to work everyday from 9-5 full time. It was my first full time corporate job and it was an adjustment.
The best decision I made
Not to stress about the little things that worried me along the trip. Whether it’s not having a roommate for the weekend trip, having to rush to the train after work- everything always works out!
What it's actually like
A typical day
Wake up at 7am. Get ready in my apartment and grab a simple breakfast downstairs, then walk 25 mins to work downtown. Get to work around 9AM and start data entry (no one is in the office yet). Around 10am people start coming in and will give me different tasks to complete throughout the day. 12pm we stop work and walk to the hotel to eat lunch together at the restaurant, then grab a coffee on the way out. Work until 5pm, walk home, change and head up to the roof to tan and swim with friends. Lastly go out or go to dinner with other friends from the building!
